Description

Judith 1837 is the third cross stitch stand-up pincushion in the series inspired by the 19th Century German china dolls that were so popular at that time. The silks in this kit shimmer as you stitch. She is part of the First Stitches Series that focuses on an American Quaker family. A Playlist on my YouTube Channel – Susan Standley Stitch in Time, will direct you to videos that tell the story of Esther and her mother Judith as they navigate the Ohio Territory and establish community alongside their Society of Friends.

Additional sewing and stitching projects that are part of this American Quaker story will be released soon! Stay tuned!

Please note: The linen in your kit is cut to create the stand-up doll, and finishing instructions are available as a free download on my website. A 1/2″ seam allowance is required for this finish and I suggest using a 1″ border for stitching. There is enough thread to stitch the piece and an over one version if desired. The chart for the band of words is an “add-on” gift. The kit does not contain additional materials or instructions to create this spool finish.
