I am so excited to offer this tiny piece of history to you. All proceeds from the sale of this chart until November 2026 will be given to the Chehalis Chapter of the Veteran’s Association.

The original coin was commissioned  by Benjamin Franklin to French engravers after US Forces defeated the British in 1781 at Yorktown. It was the last battle of the American Revolution and Franklin wanted to commemorate the event and pay tribute to the indispensable French support in America’s fight for freedom.

The symbolism on the coin shows Lady Liberty charging toward the future carrying a pharyngeal cap on a spike. This representation of emancipation and freedom is the spirit of America.

On this 250th year of celebration, a modern re-strike of the original Liberty coin was used for the super bowl coin toss.
