Corliss Trousseau 1870 Medallion Part 3 – PDF Instructions

This PDF set of instructions is for the Part 3 border of the Corliss Trousseau Medallion Quilt.

Fabric Kits, Template Sets and English Paper Piecing Sets  specifically designed for Part 3  are sold separately. You will need to purchase The English paper Piecing Kit and/ or the Template set to complete the Part 3 border however you may use your own fabric.

There are three methods available to you for the construction of the Part 3 frame :

• English Paper Piecing – You will need to purchase the PDF directions and the English Paper Piecing Papers specifically designed for this project. The acrylic Template Set designed for this project is optional but recommended.
• Hand Piecing – You will need to purchase the PDF directions  and the acrylic Template Set.
• Sewing Machine Piecing – You will need the PDF directions and the acrylic Template Set.

Please join me  in creating the first trousseau quilt for Corliss 1870, Louisville. This project is designed for the confident beginner. If you participated in the Mary 1840, St. Louis Doll Quilt Experience, you can do this and be a success!

I have made the directions very granular with those of you who have never done this before in mind. Unlike other quilt patterns, I don’t assume you have done everything needed to accomplish this. I am here to help!

If you are experienced, it may appear to be over-explaining. You can approach this project using your favorite methods based on your knowledge and skill.

Kits are also available on this website or you can use your own fabrics. You will need several scraps in a variety of colors to duplicate the same look.

Part 1 and Part 2 take you through the steps to complete the hexagon  center of this medallion quilt and the first border. Kit and PDF instructions are sold separately for Part1 and Part 2.
