In a Summer Garden Needlework Basket

Description

The basket measures 3 ½” x 2’ and is beautifully hand crafted by the extremely talented Robert Le Hay who is an icon in the Shaker Basket reinterpretation community. It has been lined by me with a delightful paper featuring images of fruit trees, wild roses, and  children playing in the garden.

The soft pinks and blues  in the paper are represented in the Au Ver a Soie – Soie Perlee silk threads provided and can be used for stitching counted work, embroidery and embellishment on quilts.

The basket contains additional hand-made items including a waxer, a pin cushion and needle book featuring an image from an antique hand painted Berlin work chart. You can separately purchase miniature Bohin gold handled scissors to add to your basket.
