-Hand-drawn calligraphy for all 50 states and embellishment images  to create the “50 States & Stars Quilt.”

  • 5 – freezer paper sheets
  • 1 – black Pigma pen
  • 1 -Large hard copy of the “50 States & Stars Quilt” Layout

Detailed directions to create the quilt for people beginning their quilting journey are included in the” Esther 1837 American Quaker Girl Doll Quilt Kit”.

Fabric requirements for the “50 States & Stars Quilt” are listed below.  If you purchased the “Esther 1837 American Quaker Girl Doll Quilt Kit”, you will have enough fabric to get started but will need to purchase additional yardage to complete the larger version of this quilt.

The 38” x 56”  “50 States and Stars” version of this quilt measures 38” x 56”.  you will need additional fabric.

Total fabric required :

  • Medium Indigo – 2 yards total

(I suggest ¼ yard of at least 6 to 8 different fabrics.)

 

  • Dark Indigo – 2 yards total

(I suggest ¼ yard of at least 6 to 8 different fabrics.)

  • Muslin – 2 ½ yards *
  • Backing -3 yards
  • Binding- ½ yards

 

Use the instructions provided in the “Esther 1837 American Quaker Girl Doll Quilt” Kit to create your quilt or the large layout provided in this kit. Templates and English Paper Piecing kits designed for the Esther 1837 American Quaker Girl Doll Quilt can be used for the larger “50 States & Stars” version
